Although picking any one of the resorts would be an excellent choice, going to all three is really the way to go. I was lucky to have been on a tour to all three resorts. Traveling by tour bus with expansive side windows allows you to capture all the beauty and take in the impressive mountains and wildlife along the way. It was amazing how each turn revealed yet more and more majestic views along the way. This is one bus tour you won't easily fall asleep!
Situated in one of the world's most breathtaking settings, Chateau Lake Louise evokes a sense of timeless beauty, warmth, and intimacy, comfort, and Old World charm. Resting next to majestic mountains soaring skyward and the vibrant blues and greens of glacier-fed Lake Louise, the resort affords incredible opportunities for sightseeing, recreation, photography, shopping, and dining.
One of our tour guides told us the Canadian Rockies are visited by travelers from all over the world including Europe. Why would anyone come to the Canadian Rockies when you have the Alps in your own backyard? The answer is wildlife. The Canadian Rockies are protected as a national park and you won't see small towns and cities around their mountain formations. Wildlife is therefore much more abundant in the Canadian Rockies.
Continue on to Jasper National Park, the largest national park in Canada. Staying at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, set deep in the Canadian Rockies, make it the embodiment of peace, tranquility, and natural beauty. The charming cabins and rugged elegance of Jasper Park Lodge make it the embodiment of peace, tranquility, and natural beauty. Jasper Park Golf Course is the number one rated course in Canada. We enjoyed a thrill when three elk joined us on the green of the 11the hole! Take a thrilling ride aboard an Ice Explorer on the Columbia Ice Field, the largest expanse of ice in the Canadian Rockies.
Finally, head to Banff and take in the natural beauty of Banff and Yoho National Parks. Stay at the famous Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, a symbol of the Canadian Rockies with its championship golf course, world-class spa, and luxurious comfort in a pristine wilderness. Enjoy a sightseeing tour with a ride on the Banff gondola up Sulphur Mountain.
The Canadian Rockies are a great change of pace, bringing you the great outdoors while enjoying it in the style and comfort of the Fairmont.
